The cabin offers 144 square feet of thoughtfully designed space and is built to meet modern building codes.

A portion of the cabin's east and south walls are prepared for cedar plywood making the space available for bunks (3 planned), a futon or foldout queen bed

Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring runs throughout the cabin, while the bathroom features durable sheet vinyl flooring.

The cabin is engineered to withstand snow loads of up to 36 inches and winds reaching 100 miles per hour.

All interior walls are custom-sawn and finished in tight-knot cedar.

The windows and corner accents are crafted from custom-sawn, shaped, and routed cedar. The west and south walls feature built-in USB charging outlets.

Beauty combined with functionality

All eaves are ventilated to promote fresh air circulation.

The quality of the custom woodworking is evident in the precisely cut and routed window sills and surrounds.

The cabin exterior is wrapped in Tyvek and finished with durable Hardie Board cement siding.

What Hardi Board Is Made Of

  • Portland cement: Provides core strength and structural integrity.
  • Silica sand: Adds density and toughness.
  • Cellulose fibers: Reinforces the material to prevent cracking. [

    Key Benefits

    • Durability: Lasts 40 to 50 years or more and resists rotting, warping, and swelling.
    • Fire Resistance: Is a non-combustible material that offers better safety against fires.
    • Pest Protection: Does not attract termites, carpenter ants, or other pests.
    • Curb Appeal: Mimics the texture and appearance of traditional wood siding.

Tyvek HomeWrap improves energy efficiency through two key mechanisms:

    • Draft Reduction and Heat Retention: It acts as a continuous air barrier across exterior wall assemblies, sealing gaps and preventing air infiltration (drafts) from entering the home, while retaining conditioned heat inside.

    • Vapor Permeability and Moisture Management: Its breathable, vapor-permeable structure allows internal moisture to escape to the outside while repelling exterior liquid water. This prevents moisture buildup, protects insulation performance, and reduces the risk of mold and mildew growth in wall cavities.

The composting toilet is housed in a closed separate room within the cabin.

    • Absolutely odor-free, maintenance-free, and backed by a 5-year warranty.
    • Generous capacity: two full-time users typically empty it every 4–6 weeks, with easy emptying in just 5 minutes.
